Best Terrain Parks at Crested Butte

Crested Butte Ski & Snowboard Rentals

Crested Butte is one of the last authentic ski towns. They bring this local attitude to their amazing terrain parks on the mountain. Whether you are a beginner looking to try your hand at the rails for the first time or are already perfecting your backflip, Crested Butte has the parks for you. Here are our picks for the best terrain parks at Crested Butte.

Ten Peaks Progression Park

This park is the perfect place to start your terrain park journey. Ten Peaks Progression Park offers beginner lines with smaller features for those who are just getting started or looking to practice a new trick before the bigger features. The park is accessible by lifts Painter Boy, Gold Link, and Prospect. As an added plus, this park is usually the warmest spot on the mountain.

Keystone Jib Park

Head to this park for features built for all ability levels. Some of the mountain’s most popular rails and boxes are located at the Keystone Jib Park. This park changes features weekly, allowing for creativity to flow among the lines. The small to medium features make for a great progression from the Ten Peaks Progression Park. Access this park from the Red Lady Express Lift.

Lower Twister Terrain Park

This terrain park is the newest on the mountain. As of now it consists of three jumps in the 25 to 35 foot size range, but this could change depending on the snow conditions. The three jumps are great for sending major air and more intermediate to advanced tricks. Access to this park can be reached via the Red Lady Express Lift or the Silver Queen lift in between Uley’s Cabin on the Lower Twister trail.

Family Cross Course

Looking to try your hand at ski or snowboard cross? Crested Butte has you covered with their Family Cross Course. As the name suggests, this course is family friendly and a great way to feel the flow of a cross course. The bermed course contains little rollers as well as medium sized table tops. Satisfy your need for speed and make some swooping turns for an entire mile in this park. This park can be reached via the Painter Boy, Gold Link, and Prospect Lifts.

There is very little Crested Butte doesn’t have on their mountain, so it is no surprise that they have such a great selection of terrain parks.
