Aspen, Colorado is located in the middle of the state in the roaring fork valley about 198 miles from Denver. There is a local airport but most visitors prefer to fly to DIA because flights are cheaper and driving is beautiful.

Aspen Highlands

Aspen Highlands is the hidden gem in the valley due to it being drawn to the local crowd that lives in the roaring fork valley. This mountain also brings skiers and riders to the highland bowl if they choose to ski hard terrain. This mountain is meant for intermediate and expert skiers as the mountain doesn’t offer any green runs for newbies. 65% of the terrain is considered expert so watch out and pay attention to maps.
